You have the option to purchase accident insurance, which helps to protect your finances after an accident. If you incur a covered injury, you will be paid a lump sum cash benefit, which you can use to help pay for out-of-pocket medical costs or everyday expenses.
The employee benefit amount is $25,000; spouse benefit amount is $12,500 and child benefit amount is $5,000.

Critical illness insurance provides you with a fixed, lump sum benefit upon the diagnosis of a serious illness like heart attack, stroke, or cancer. Benefits are paid directly to you and may be used on any expenses, from deductibles and prescriptions to travel expenses, childcare, or other everyday expenses.
Upon enrollment, select from a benefit of $5,000 to $25,000 (in $5,000 increments) for employee coverage and $2,500 to $12,500 (in $2,500 increments), up to 50% of the employee amount for your spouse’s coverage.

This type of benefit can help cover out-of-pocket expenses not covered by your medical plan. For spouse and child(ren) rates, please refer to the plan documents. For a hospital/ICU admission, this benefit will pay $1,500 per admission (1 per admission, per insured and 3 admissions per covered family per year).
